Winter Weather Advisory and Clinic Hours

Weather reports indicate that Chicago will have one of the coldest weather days in history on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. Our plan at Angel Harvey Family Health Center of the Infant Welfare Society is to stay and provide care for those in need of medical attention.

Due to the frigid weather, we are expected to receive, we encourage you to stay home to be safe and reschedule your appointments. We will close at 5pm and will have limited staff.

For those of you who will brave the cold, please do so safely. Bundle up in layers, cover your face, and try to limit your time outdoors.

El pronóstico de temperatura de la ciudad de Chicago nos indica que tendremos uno de los días más fríos en historia el Miércoles, 30 de enero, 2019. Nuestro plan en Angel Harvey Family Health Center of the infant welfare society sera de estar y proveer cuido para aquellos que necesitan atención médica.

Dado al frio frígido que estamos esperando tener, animamos a nuestros pacientes que por favor se queden en casa sanos y salvos, que por favor llamen a cambiar sus citas del día. Nosotros cerraremos nuestras puertas a las 5 pm y tendremos personal limitado.

Para aquellos valientes al frio, por favor háganlo cuidadosamente. Abríguense, tápense la cara, y traten de limitar su tiempo afuera.

Dr. Tara Ioffe

Family Practice

Dr. Tara Ioffe is a dedicated and compassionate Board-Certified Family Medicine physician with a strong commitment to providing excellent care to her patients. She obtained her medical degree from Avalon University in Curacao and went on to complete her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Oklahoma. She has worked at the University of Chicago and most recently NorthShore University. She has since returned to Chicago and is thrilled to join the IWS Family Health team in 2023, where she will continue to provide excellent care to her patients.

Throughout her career, Dr. Ioffe has gained experience in diverse medical fields, such as immediate and urgent care medicine while working at NorthShore Immediate Care. She did clinical research at the University of Chicago. Dr. Ioffe strives to foster a secure and inclusive environment for all her patients. She believes in an integrated approach to medicine, dedicating her time to understand each patient’s unique needs.

During her leisure time, Dr. Ioffe indulges in reading a variety of books for pleasure, plays boardgames, and loves to explore Chicago with her spouse and young child.
