Keeping Your Goals

Here are some tips to get (or keep) you on track for all your health goals:

Remember why you set the goal. Taking the time to reevaluate why you set a certain goal and what your intentions are may reinvigorate you to do your best to succeed.

Take small steps. If your goal is a big one, go about accomplishing it the same way one would eat an elephant: one bite at a time.

Adjust your goal. Is your goal too big? Too unrealistic? Not the right time for it? Similar to the first tip, this may be a good time to take another look at your intentions and adjust them to suit your current needs. Instead of pledging to “save 50% more money” you can tell yourself to “deposit $5 more into savings this year than last year”.

Grab an accountability buddy. Having a friend, partner or close family member join you to offer support and encouragement can be a major help. An accountability buddy will help you stay on track. In fact, you will help each other!
